Have an existing support email address you'd like emails to be forwarded or redirected into RelationKit? We can do that.
You'll need access to the forwarding settings of your existing emails inbox, as we'll be telling your email provider to forward emails into your dedicated Space's RelationKit email address. e.g. support@yourspace.inbound.relationkit.io
Connect your existing address
Head to Spaces > Your Space Name, then click Settings to access your Space Settings. From there, click Forwards and click New Forwarding Address.
From there, enter the email address you currently use for support, e.g. support@example.com and click Create. Next head over to your email provider and you can begin to setup forwarding.
Setup forwarding in your email provider
After you've configured RelationKit to have a Forwarding Address for your email, you're able to setup your email provider to forward in emails.
This process will vary for different providers, and as always if you need help please reach out and Start a Conversation and we'll be happy to assist you.
For Gmail Users, or users of a shared email account that uses Google (i.e. Google Workspace)
Head over to your email inbox, click the Gear Icon in the right side.
Click See all settings, then click Forwarding and POP/IMAP Once you're there, click Add a forwarding address In the popup, enter your RelationKit inbound email address like so: .Click Proceed on the next step to verify you wish to forward all email to that address.
Once you're done, a confirmation link will be sent to that address.
Head over to your RelationKit Conversations page for your Space and look for a conversation from Google.
Open up the conversation and read the message we received on your behalf. If you agree and wish to turn on forwarding, copy the link out of the email and open it up in your browser.
Click "Confirm" when it asks you to confirm.Once you've confirmed you want to allow forwarding there's one final step back in the Gmail settings.
Under Forwarding and POP/IMAP...
Ensure Forward a Copy of incoming mail is selected with your RelationKit inbound email selected and choose what to do with the email that is forwarded. With that, send your support email a test email from another inbox and you should see emails flowing into RelationKit for you to handle from there.
NOTE: When you forward email into RelationKit, you should read and reply to emails from RelationKit and not from Gmail any longer or the connection between RelationKit and your email will break.
